Terms of Use

By using pPlace, you agree to these terms. They exist to keep the environment healthy, protect the community and make clear what is and is not allowed.

1. The service

pPlace is a collaborative canvas that overlays public web pages. Users paint pixels and those drawings are shared with everyone else who visits the same site through pPlace. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve without prior notice.

2. Account and minimum age

To paint, signing in with Google is required. By creating an account, you confirm you meet the age required by your local laws to use online services with authentication. Keep your credentials safe — you are responsible for activity carried out with your account.

3. Allowed content

Pixels and drawings published on pPlace must respect:

We reserve the right to remove pixels, restrict drawings on specific sites and apply temporary or permanent blocks to accounts that violate these rules.

4. Screenshots of third-party websites

pPlace only captures screenshots of public pages, accessible without user login or user cookies. These captures serve exclusively as the visual background of the collaborative canvas — an artistic and transformative purpose. We do not copy, redistribute or resell the original content of captured pages; the original content remains owned by its respective holders.

If you are responsible for a website and want it to not be captured by pPlace, or you have a copyright claim over a specific capture, contact us via contact with the URL, the reason and your relationship to the content. We handle these requests in good faith and with priority, removing the capture or blocking the domain when applicable.

5. Purchases and paid pixels

pPlace may offer pixel packs, rewards or upgrades. Such purchases follow the conditions presented at the time of contracting. Pixels obtained have no monetary value outside the platform and are not refundable after use.

6. Advertising

We may display ads to sustain the service. Ads follow the policies of their respective providers. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads, but we are committed to removing abusive formats when identified.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pPlace is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the platform. In cases of instability, temporary data loss or unavailability, our obligation is limited to restoring the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Relevant changes will be listed on updates. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the new terms.
