Privacy Policy

This policy describes which data pPlace collects, how it is used and the choices you have over it. It applies to anyone visiting the website, with or without login.

1. Who we are

"pPlace" is the service described on About, operated by the team responsible for the project. For privacy questions, use the channel listed on Contact.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Google login

If you choose to sign in via Google OAuth, we receive from Google: display name, email address and a unique Google identifier. This data is used to create and identify your pPlace account. We do not receive your password and we do not have access to your Google account beyond these fields.

2.2 Nickname and profile on pPlace

You can set a public nickname inside pPlace, which appears attached to the pixels you paint.

2.3 Pixels and statistics

To make the canvas work, we store painted pixels, the websites they were painted on, timestamps and the responsible user. This information also feeds statistics (top users, top sites, history).

2.4 Technical data

We collect common technical data, such as IP address, browser user agent, language and access dates. We use it for diagnostics, security, abuse control (rate limiting) and aggregate metrics.

3. Cookies and local storage

pPlace uses browser local storage (localStorage) to keep your session and preferences. We do not use our own advertising tracking cookies. If at some point we integrate external providers (such as Google AdSense), those providers may set their own cookies — you will be informed and able to review your choice.

4. Advertising (future use)

We are evaluating advertising providers. If we start displaying ads, this page will be updated with the list of providers and how to control personalization. Providers like Google may use advertising identifiers according to their own policies.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data strictly with providers we need to operate the service (for example, hosting, database, authentication).

6. Retention

Pixels and statistics tied to your account are stored while the account is active. You can request the deletion of your account and personal data via contact; certain aggregated, non-identifiable information (e.g. total pixel count on a website) may be kept.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal data. In any case, just reach out. We answer within a reasonable time.

8. Children

pPlace is not intended for children. If you are the legal guardian of a child and identified misuse, write to us through the contact channel.

9. Policy updates

We may update this policy occasionally. Relevant changes are listed on the updates page.
